John Guernsey

Marietta, GA

Returning Olmsted Plein Air Invitational Georgia Artist John Guernsey was active in 2017. Mr. Guernsey was awarded Best of Show at the Los Gatos Plein Air Festival; First Place QuickDraw at Plein Air  Easton; and  Honorable Mention at Carmel Plein Air Festival.

In 2016 John received the Award of Excellence at the Carmel-by-the-Sea Plein Air Festival, Second Place and Los Gatos Plein Air Festival.

Mr. Guernsey’s solo shows include Quinlan Art Center in Gainesville, Florida. His teaching workshops and classes are held at Bascom Art Center in Highlands, NC and Booth Western Art Museum in Cartersville, GA, along with ongoing classes at the Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art, The Art Loft in Dahlonega, GA and The Art School at Sandy Springs, GA. He is currently represented by Mountain Mist Gallery in Cashiers, NC.
