TICKETED EVENT - Included in all FRIENDS of Olmsted Plein Air patron levels or $100 separately. 100% of the ticket price of the Meet the Artists Welcome Event can be applied to a painting.

It is one of the most compelling experiences of the week-long Invitational.  The evening, held at a different location every year, is a chance to celebrate nature and art as they did in the gilded age of impressionist era painters when patrons and collectors would explore an exquisite landscape while artists fashioned masterpieces in their midst.

This year’s Meet the Artist Welcome Party will take place at Druid Hills Golf Club on the terrace overlooking the 18th hole! Enjoy the beautiful vistas. Attendees can converse with Artists, view fresh works created in Georgia and even maybe experience live painting!

Paintings created the previous days around Georgia will be assembled for show & sale. $100 Single Ticket purchase price will be applied to the cost of a painting (one per painting, petites excluded). Enjoy food and ART shared by competing artists and art patrons alike.

However, it's essential to understand how to use your brush effectively in order to achieve your desired results. Knowing when to apply thick or smooth strokes, when to be precise, and when to use suggestive brushwork is crucial.

To improve your brushwork skills, you can try some helpful exercises that will be shown here. These exercises will enable you to learn how to use different brushstrokes effectively and master the various techniques that can help you achieve your artistic goals.
