Richie Vios, renowned for his watercolor expertise, will be conducting a demonstration on painting nocturne scenes during daylight hours. .The challenge lies in effectively rendering dark values to accentuate the play of light, thus showcasing the luminosity and transparency characteristic of watercolors. Vios will guide participants on achieving rich dark tones without compromising the vibrancy of colors, highlighting the crucial timing in watercolor techniques depending on the paper's moisture level - whether wet, damp, moist, or dry. Additionally, Vios will impart insights on the fundamental aspects of a compelling painting: shape, color, values, and edges."
