Olmsted Plein Air Invitational is one of the most prestigious plein air painting competitions in the United States. In its 5th year, it is held in Atlanta, Georgia each spring. Plein air painters produce art from life (as opposed to in the studio). Artists from all over the United States and beyond vie to be invited to this competition!
26 of the most esteemed contemporary impressionist artists will be painting throughout Georgia with and greater metropolitan Atlanta the week of April 28 - May 5th.
Many of the world's most accomplished Contemporary Impressionist artists have Olmsted Plein Air Invitational at the top of their wish list of competitions and we will continue to set the bar for excellence in the coming year.

2018 Quick Facts:
Art sales achieved a new benchmark with 160 paintings sold! Approximately 30,000 people participate over the course of the week as Artists painted through Georgia, offer demonstrations and lectures.
Olmsted Plein Air's Paint Quick is open to any artist with $20 and ambition. Nearly 200 artists paint for 2 hours in Atlanta's historic Frederick Law Olmsted, Sr. Linear Park. The event culminates in an outdoor exhibition and sale
