Ms. Baker’s professional affiliations include Oil Painters of America Board Member, Portrait Society of America, American Impressionist Society, National Oil and Acrylic Society, Laguna Plein Air Painters Association, Outdoor Painters Society, and American Women Artist. She teaches at The Woodlands Art League in The Woodlands, Texas.


Cindy Baron

North Kingstown, RI

Ms. Baron is returning to OPAI in 2016; recognized by her peers in both watercolor and oil. She is a sought-after instructor, and some of Ms. Baron’s works are owned by Nike and The National Museum of Wildlife. Some of her accomplishments include Oil Painter of America National 2010 and Salon International Greenhouse Gallery 2010.  She instructs classes and workshops.


Ms. Baron was named Oil Painter of America Signature Status, American Watercolor Society Signature Status, elected to the Salmagundi Club, as well as the American Impressionist Society.


Ms. Baron has been featured in Plein-Air Magazine, Artist Profile, March issue 2014, The Artist Magazine, 1999 Profile, Southwest Art, The Art Collector, Art Connoisseur, Coastal Life Magazine and Big Sky Journal. 

Eleinne Basa

Jackson, New Jersey

In 2015 recognition for Eleinne Bassa included Plein Air for the Park Aspen Interior Award of Excellence; Door County Plein Air Honorable Mention;  ARC Renewal Center Salon Competition Finalist; National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum Notes from the Field; California Art Club Gold Medal Show;  Outwest Art Show; and Settlers West American Miniature Show. In 2014 and 2013 Ms. Basa participated in Plein Air Easton; Door County Plein Air Invitational; 717 Gallery National Artist Invitational; Western Masters Art Show; Settlers West American Miniatures Show. In 2013 Howard Mandville Gallery Annual Invitational Small Works Show; and Gilcrease Museum Collectors Reserve.  In 2012 Ms. Basa earned the Plein Air Magazine Online Salon First Place; and the Art of the West Magazine 101st Gold Medal Exhibition of the California Art Club Award of Excellence. Returning to OPAI in 2016, Woody Cyrus’ recent recognition includes Bath County Plein Air 2015; Olmsted Plein Air Invitational 2015 Cezanne Award; Virginia Plein Air Painters, 2015; and Plein Air –Easton 2012 and 2013.

Mr. Cyrus has won several awards for his paintings and he teaches at the Art League in Alexandria, Virginia.

Mr. DeWaard is returning to OPAI in 2016. Margaret Dyer returns to the OPAI in 2016 as reigning winner of the Olmsted Plein Air Invitational Paint Quick First Place in 2015.  In 2014 her awards included Pastel Society of North Florida First Place; Connecticut Pastel Society Renaissance in Pastel’s Salter Award for Innovation; Stone Mountain Plein Air Event First Place Atlanta; Southeastern Pastel Society International Exhibition Best of Show Atlanta; Women Painters of the Southeast Outstanding Figurative Award Greensboro, GA: Artists Magazine 31st Annual Competition Landscapes/Interior Finalist and Animal/Wildlife Finalist.

In 2013 Ms. Dyer was named in the International Association of Pastel Societies Online Exhibition as Best of Show;  Degas Pastel Society Exhibition in Laurel MS Award of Exceptional Merit;  College Park Plein Air Exhibition First Place College Park, GA;  Artists Magazine 30th Annual Competition Landscapes/Interior Finalist and Animal/Wildlife Finalist.

His paintings were included in the Brinton Museum’s Small Works Exhibition in 2014 and 2015. In 2012 Mr. Gellatly participated in Plein Air 2012, 2011 and 2010  Columbia Art Gallery in Hood River, OR; and the Plein Air Invitational 2012 at the Portland Art Museum in Portland, OR. In2010 the Randy Higbee Gallery show. 

Debra Joy Groesser

Omaha, Nebraska

In 2014, Ms. Groesser participated in Sedona Plein Air Invitational; American Impressionist Society National Juried Exhibition; Door County Invitational Plein Air Festival and Exhibition; Plein Air Artists Colorado National Juried Exhibition; Oil Painters of Amercia National Juried Exhibition; Mongomery Museum of Fine Arts Biennial Art Auction, Spirit 2014; and The Legacy of the West Two Women Artists Abby Williams Hill and Debra Joy Grosser Painting a Century Apart.

Bryan Guglielmi

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Currently a student at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (2017), Mr. Gugliemi works in genres including human and animal portraits, special life event representations, still life, historical people and events, landscapes, cityscapes, pop culture representations and classic, sport and luxury vehicles. He also creates business and commercial product promotional imagery. 

Jack Hannula

Washington, D.C. 

Jack Hannula, primarily an oil painter, currently exhibits his art at the Arts Club of Washington’s Spilsbury Gallery in downtown Washington, D.C. where he founded the Gallery and served a term as Club President; and in New York at the Kushnir-Taylor Gallery;  and Amsterdam-Whitney Gallery. He has exhibited internationally in India, China, Russia and Egypt and travels considerably to paint, especially in Italy, Sicily and France.


Arts Club of Washington, serving as President, Exhibit Committee Chair, Officer, and Board of Governors Member; and the International Artists Support Group (IASG) also serving a term as President.


Hannula’s forthcoming book is titled Painting Sicily: An Artists’ Odyssey.  

Marc Hanson

Longmont, CO   

Marc Hanson is returning to OPAI in 2016. He is a winner of the Oil Painters of Amercia Bronze Medal for oil painting in the 2011 OPA National Exhibition.  He was awarded 'The Francesca Kerpel Wenger Award ‘Best Sense of Place' at the Olmsted Plein Air Invitational, 2015; and included in the Virtuosos of the OPA Exhibition at the Salamagundi Club in 2015. Mr. Hanson was awarded Rocky Mountain Plein Air Painters Best of Show in Grand Teton National Park 2014. At the Door County Plein Air Festival Mr. Hanson won First Place in 2013, both Artists’ Choice and Best of Show in 2012, and Featured Artist of the Year in 2011. 


He is a Painters of America OPA Signature Member.


Recent publications featuring Mr. Hanson’s work include Plein Air Magazine Feature and Cover 2013 and Southwest Art Magazine Feature and Cover 2012. Mr. Hanson has appeared in American Art Collector, Creative Convergence 2010, 2011. 

Charlie Hunter

Bellows Falls, Vermont

In 2015 Mr. Hunter participated in Forgotten Coast Plein Air; Easels in Frederick Plein Air; Door County Plein Air; Sedona Plein Air; Boxcars - Railroad Imagery in Contemporary Realism at the Brattleboro Museum; and Eyes on the Landat the  Shelburne Museum.

In 2014 he was Plein Air Easton’s Quick Draw Winner; Easels in Frederick Quick Draw Winner; and Monterey Plein Air Convention Mainstage Faculty;  EYES ON THE LAND, traveling exhibition in collaboration with Vermont Land Trust;  and Main Street Arts selected artist for "5 Season Suite" Theater Curtain fundraiser in Saxtons River, VT.

Mr. Hunters other selected awards include - Plein Air Easton Vanishing Landscapes Award Winner in 2013; Wayne PA Plein Air Festival first place 2013; and Paint the Town Artists' Choice 2013. As well, in 2012 Hunter was awarded Plein Air Easton Best New Artist; and at the Wayne PA Plein Air Festival both the People's Choice Award and Paint the Town! People's Choice Award in 2012.

Thomas Jefferson Kitts


During the past four years, Thomas Kitts’ awards include Pacific North West Plein Air Award third place in 2015; and Telluride Honorable mention TPA Award 2015; the Laguna Beach Plein Air Painters Invitational Mathewson Family Foundation Award 2014;  Laguna Beach Plein Air Painting Invitational Artists’ Choice Award 2013; Carmel, CA, Arts Festival Best of Show and Mayor's Choice Award 2011; Plein Air Easton’s Best New Artist 2011; Plein Air Curacao Best International Artist 2011; as well as Los Gatos Plein Air second Place and numerous Honorable Mentions; and multiple Raymar Art and Plein Air Magazine Salon Finalist awards.

Mr. Kitts was featured as an Artist to Watch by The Informed Collector and was invited to participate in several Maui Plein Air Painting Invitationals where he won the Pioneer Inn Quickdraw Competition. He was guest lecturer at three Plein Air Convention & Expos in Monterey, California;  was awarded a twelve month Artist Residency from the University Club of Portland; and he leads painting workshops around the world.

In 2015 Greg LaRock was awarded Los Gatos Plein Air Second Place; Paso Art Fest Invitational Award of Excellence; Florida's Forgotten Coast Plein Air Invitational Artists’ Choice; Painting the Light—Here, There and Everywhere First Place; and the Maui Plein Air Invitational Artists’ Choice and Makena-Aloha Foundation Award.

In 2014 Mr. LaRock won the Laguna Plein Air Invitational Distinctive Merit Award; American Impressionist Society National Juried Exhibition Honorable Mention; Door County Plein Air Invitational First Place; LPAPA’s Less is More Miniature Show First Place; Viewpoints: Orange County Second Place; RayMar Art’s 7th Annual Painting Competition Top 12 Finalist; and Maui Plein Air Invitational Pacific’ O Restaurant Award.

Tom Lynch

Lincoln, Nebraska

Tom Lynch has been the invited "guest artist" for many art exhibitions including Sedona Plein Air Festival. Named one of the nation’s top twenty art teachers as well as one of the nation's premier watercolorists, Mr. Lynch is author of seven books and host of several award winning PBS TV Art Series. He acted as the National Art Materials Trade Association spokesperson, and continues to be the international spokesperson for many leading art material manufacturers. Tom is currently featured on the new cable TV channel Visual Arts Network, and in 2007 he became the CMO and featured artist for Art Academy Live (the leading on-line education source). Tom was honored in the American Embassy in Paris, France with a one-man exhibition.


His list of credentials include: two Lifetime Achievement Awards and Signature Membership in many national watercolor societies, election into the illustrious Society of American Impressionists, as well as a listing in Who's Who in American Art. Some of Mr. Lynch’s numerous awards include: The Municipal Art League of Chicago Award of Excellence, Landscape Artist of the Year, and he was the first American selected for Honorary Membership in the Canadian Watercolor Society. He has been the featured artist for the Men's, Women's and Seniors U. S. Open Golf Championships and several PGA events and tournaments. Many of his paintings are available in Limited Edition prints and are included in private and corporate collections throughout the world.


Susan Lynn

Kansas City, Missouri

Recent awards for Susan Lynn in 2015 include the Mountain Maryland Plein Air Best Use of Light; and in 2014 American Women Artist's National Juried Exhibition Award of Recognition 2-D; Plein Air Southwest Salon Award of Merit Best Plains Landscape Award; and the Western Art & Architecture Magazine Publisher's Award of Excellence at the American Plains Artists 2014 Juried Exhibition. In 2013 Ms. Lynn won Seaside Artist Colony Plein Air Invitational Second Place; and the Plein Air Vermont 2012 Founders Prize for Excellence in Watercolor.  

Ms. Lynn’s paintings are a part of the corporate art collections of Hallmark Cards, Sprint, and John Deere.  In addition to numerous gallery and juried exhibitions, Lynn's paintings have been featured in solo exhibitions at the Birger Sandzen Memorial Gallery and the National Agricultural Hall of Fame.
