Olmsted Plein Air Invitational is one of the most prestigious plein air painting competitions in the United States. In its 5th year, it is held in Atlanta, Georgia each spring. Plein air painters produce art from life (as opposed to in the studio). Artists from all over the United States and beyond  vie to be invited to this competition! This year, 26 of the most esteemed contemporary impressionist artists will be painting throughout Georgia and greater metropolitan Atlanta the week of April 28 - May 5, 2019.

Dawn will use actual paintings of this years participating Artists year’s roster of painters to illustrate both the differences and similarities their plein air work.

WEDNESDAY 11:00 AM - Suzie Baker: 2019 Olmsted Plein Air Artist | Live demonstration and lecture. What Color is That? How to See Like an Artists.

1:00 PM Robert Pillsbury, President Salmagundi Club of NYC featured presenter

6:30 PM - Cynthia Rosen: 2019 Olmsted Plein Air Artist paired with Helen Smith who will create a floral design live. Learn from Cynthia (Master of the Palette Knife) as she creates a painting from Helen’s floral composition.
