Aix-en-Provence, France

Returning to the OPAI in 2016, this Atlanta native impressionist painter studied and lives in Aix-en-Provence, paints in the style of Cézanne, and is one of the few artists in the world who has access to the Chateau Noir, his abode. Jill Steenhuis was the 2006 Cézanne specialist for the 100-year exhibition at the Smithsonian Institute and appeared on Good Morning America’s Provence feature. She lectures, stages one-woman exhibitions across the U.S. as fundraisers for non-profit organizations, holds week-long workshops, and is widely collected having sold more than 2,300 works.
