In 2017 Michele Byrne was awarded Honorable Mention in both the 18th National Juried Exhibition of the American Impressionist Society and in the Lighthouse Arts Festival; the Rosemary Brushes Award at Wayne Plein Air Festival; Award of Excellence Rocky Mountain Plein Air Painters Invitational; her work was added to the Permanent Collection of Grand Teton National Park Foundation and she painted in the Oil Painters of America Eastern Regional Exhibit.
The previous year, 2016, Ms. Byrne won Second Prize Overall in Plein Air Magazine’s Salon; was Paint Out Winner at Sedona Plein Air Invitational; and Award of Excellence at the Rocky Mountain Plein Air Painters Invitational and showed in the American Dreams Exhibit at Eckert and Ross Fine Art Gallery.
Michele is a Signature Member of American Impressionist Society and a member of Oil Painters of America, Rocky Mountain Plein Air Painters; Mid Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association, and Artists Fellowship, Inc.
Ms. Byrne was featured in Southwest Art Magazine; Plein Air Magazine; on OutdoorPainter.com; and in “The Colors of Cuba” in Reading Eagle. She is included in books: 100 Plein-Air Painters of the Mid-Atlantic and The Art of Conversation: Manhattan.
